My life before Lake Forest

I was a full-time graduate student earning my master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and working in career services.

One word or phrase to describe myself

Vivacious!

Top three reasons I would choose to attend Lake Forest College

I would attend Lake Forest College because of the personal connections students build with faculty, its proximity to Chicago, and because of the well-rounded curriculum that is available to students.

What character traits do I appreciate in an applicant?

I appreciate an applicant who takes the time to reflect about what they are looking for in a college and what they are hoping to gain from the collegiate experience.

What makes the College unique?

Lake Forest College is unique because it is a beautiful liberal arts institution with a rich history nestled in a quaint community that is only 30 miles north of Chicago. At Lake Forest College, you get the best of both worlds!

Tip for the college search

College is a short term experience but a long term commitment. Pick a school that you’ll be proud to represent 20+ years after graduation. Try to really picture yourself at the institution and what it would feel like to be a student at the institution (and actually visit if you can!).

Hint for success

Don’t worry too much about your major in college (I was a wreck trying to decide on one). It’s more important to study something that interests you and to get involved on campus so that your experiences and learned skills in college will translate into real world experience when you graduate!

Favorite activity in Chicago

I love going to listen to a performance by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Favorite place in the town of Lake Forest

Egg Harbor Café for a yummy breakfast.
