Assistant Director/Director of Gift Planning
The Assistant Director/Director of Gift Planning will be responsible for building and managing one-on-one relationships with a portfolio of 75-125 of the College’s major gift prospects. Responsibilities include:
- Build and manage one-on-one relationships with a portfolio of 125 College-identified major gift prospects with $25,000+ capacity, including alumni, parents, and friends of the College.
- Make 10+ major gift solicitations totaling $1,000,000 annually.
- Make 15+ personal contacts or in-person meetings to prospects per month.
Successful candidates will demonstrate competitive drive, strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and accountability. Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience in an external-facing role such as sales, recruiting, or fundraising is required. Ability to relate to a wide variety of constituents and solicit donations face to face. High level of initiative and drive to succeed. Strong sense of institutional responsibility. Strong negotiation, organizational, and fundraising skills. Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
