ACCESS | Support for Exceptional Faculty
At Lake Forest College, our faculty are our greatest asset. Faculty members are first-and-foremost teachers and mentors who are focused on our students’ success. Their intellectual and teaching goals are enhanced by the resources of nearby Chicago, and they regularly publish and conduct original research with students. Our faculty give our students an edge on careers and life after Lake Forest.
Ninety-eight percent hold a PhD or terminal degree from places like Northwestern, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, Harvard, University of Michigan, and University of Chicago.
Many have been awarded grants and fellowships and recognized for their research and teaching by prestigious organizations such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Andrew Mellon Foundation.
They are regularly contacted for expert comment in media such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, National Public Radio, and others.
Ways to support
Lake Forest College is deeply committed to attracting and retaining the best faculty. With your support, we can provide faculty with the resources necessary to enrich their curricula and provide greater opportunities for them to work side-by-side with students on original research.
